The word “Catgofire” comes from a word-find I had to do in programming class sophomore year of high school. The teacher was not there that day, so he had us do this enormous word-find. Public high school at its finest. Since it was so large, there were many things in it that weren’t purposeful. Catgofire was one of those things. I was in the market for a domain name at the time, and so catgofire.com was born. That was April 2003.
