Baby Bunny Rescue

My brother was out in the foyer at around 2:30 a.m.: “Justin… do you want to come down here?” I, in my room, didn’t really. “Do I want to?” “No I mean… can you come down here?” “Why?” “There’s something in the window well.”

He had been playing video games in the basement and heard something scratching at the window. We both got flashlights and went down to investigate. We shined our lights on this:

He was just sitting there, probably pretty freaked out by the bright lights in his eyes. I got my camera.

He looks big here, but he was about the size of my hand (which isn’t very big).

I got some gloves on and went outside to get him out. After several failed attempts where I lifted him halfway out and he jumped back down to start throwing himself at the window, I finally caged him firmly enough to get him all the way out.

He was quite shaken up by the whole experience. He just sat around for a while, eating what leaves were around him. After being trapped down there for I don’t know how long, he didn’t seem to mind Parker and I being a few feet from him.

He eventually hopped back under the bush where his mom lives, and we haven’t seen him since. Thanks to Parker for reluctantly taking pictures.

“Do I /want/ to?” wiseass.

awwwwww. that’s like the time my dad went into the garage and two tin little bunnies (smaller than that) were just chillin ther ebetween the cars. my dads kind of an asshole though and put them in a cage and let millie park at them alot. then he let them go.

heh..where you saved a bunny i killed one…i was tired to be nice and told it not to eat my moms plants, i even caught it and put it in someone else’s yard..but he came back…so i shot it…in the face…with a .117mm lead pellet traveling at about 900fps…i am a bunny murder-er…
